FOUNDATIONAL EMDR TRAINING MANUAL
Creating a manual for all learning styles
With a passion for perinatal mental health and trauma healing, Mara Tesler Stein and Taína Amaro developed an EMDR curriculum specifically for therapists working with birthing people and their families.
Offering online continuing education through The Touchstone Institute, Mara and her instructors pride themselves on providing high quality, accessible courses. To accompany the new curriculum, she and her Director of Training, Taína, wrote a comprehensive 300 page manual.
To accommodate a variety of learning styles, I designed and illustrated the manual to guide trainees through the course and beyond in both digital and print versions.
ILLUSTRATIONS
To avoid crowding the abundant content while accommodating visual learners, I illustrated metaphors, concepts, and bilateral stimulation techniques with minimalist line drawings.

FORMAT OPTIONS
I maximized accessibility to the course content by designing both digital and print versions of the manual. For ease of use, I included links to appendixes and external links throughout the digital copy and inserted QR codes to supplemental materials in the print copy. Both versions of the manual included section tabs to make finding practicum content and reference materials effortless.
