Connected
Connected is an 18x24 original painting and was created with artist quality watercolors and gouache on archival watercolor paper. It is displayed behind glass in a smooth, black finished 24x30 frame with a warm white, acid-free mat board.

Creative Process
Most of my paintings come together quickly, but Connected took me on a slow and deliberate journey from charcoal to watercolor over the coarse of several months.
To date, this 18x24 painting is my largest work in watercolor. There is something very liberating about working larger - the freedom of not dwelling on every brush stroke - the physicality of creating arcs of color with the movement of my whole arm rather than just my wrist - the courage to allow my work to be seen bigger and more beautifully in the world. Connected is a revelation.
